More about me…
How did you get into Calligraphy?
It all began in 2017 after making the wedding signs for our own wedding! A bride to be contacted me when we were on our honeymoon about making some signs for their wedding. I wasn't in a position at the time to help them but the idea of Loughman's Lettering was born!
I spent the following few years creating wedding signs for friends and colleagues.
But it wasn’t until lockdown of 2020 and the birth of my first son that I really embraced the idea of building a business from my calligraphy.
How did you learn calligraphy?
I am self taught :)
I attended a local calligraphy class in 2018 which I loved and it inspired me to further research the skills required. But really, its just lots of practice and trial and error.
When did you take the plunge with the business?
I have gradually grown the business since 2020 and still work part time in the NHS as a therapeutic radiographer. Its a balancing act that I love, alongside being a wife and mummy too!
